WHEATEN ( TRIGUENA OR BLAT ) VARIETY STANDARD


COLORATION

COMB ,FACE and WATTLES:RED

EAR LOBES: At least 2/3 white enclosed in red.

EYES: Black , with honey colored iris.

SHANKS and TOES: Light blue slate.

EGGS: Very dark reddish brown.


CHICK DOWN

Yellowish white ,generally with a dark spot on the head and sometimes on the back.


ROOSTER PLUMAGE

HEAD:Red

NECK:Yellowish red with a black spot with lance form amid some feathers, nearest to the back.

FRONT OF NECK: Black starting from six months old and white before.

BREAST ,ABDOMEN and THIGHS: Black with greenish metallic iridescences .

WINGS: Black front, shinny red bow, black greenish coverts, black primaries, black secondaries with brown in the lower part of the rachis. 

​BACK: Shiny yellowish red with a black lance form spot in the central part of the feathers.

TAIL: Black with metallic greenish reflections ,shinier the sickles and converts.

DOWN: Light gray almost white at the insertion of the tail.


HEN PLUMAGE

HEAD and NECK: Light brown

BACK: Salmon cream

BREAST and ABDOMEN: Very light salmon cream almost white.

WINGS: Bow and converts equal to the back, primaries black seasoned of salmon cream, secondaries black the lower part of the feather from the rachis and salmon cream , the upper part is like the back.

TAIL: Combination of black with salmon cream coloration.

DOWN: White at the ventral zones and cream salmon at the back.

ROOSTER: 4.4 to 6 pounds

HEN: 3.75 to 4.41 pounds

EGGS: 60 grams or more
